Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee the 24-hour inpatient pharmacy operations and ensure high quality patient care, safety, and compliance with federal and state laws. You will lead staff, manage budgeting and scheduling, and partner with hospital leadership to implement goals and programs.

A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is required, with PharmD preferred; Iowa licensure is essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist in Charge registration in Iowa and compliance with state licensing.
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing in Iowa.
• 5 years hospital pharmacy experience with administration or leadership preferred.
• Mandatory reporter training for child and dependent adult abuse within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduling for inpatient pharmacy staff.
• Manages timecards and payroll approvals for inpatient staff.
• Develops and maintains a quality control program aligned with hospital standards.
• Develops, approves, and implements departmental policies and procedures.
