Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator to support inpatient pharmacy operations and quality patient care. You’ll lead technician training, manage schedules, and collaborate with leadership to improve workflow and morale.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in health care related field within 18 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the NCBOP.
• Certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT).

Responsibilities

• Precepts new Pharmacy Technicians and ensures timely completion of orientation.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Manager to develop, review, and implement training program for Pharmacy Technicians.
• Develop and monitor reports and audits to determine short-comings of Pharmacy Technicians and staff, and implement improvements.
• Provide routine feedback to Pharmacy Technicians regarding attendance, punctuality, professionalism and job performance.
• Inspects and maintains outpatient prescription system.
• Prepares the Pharmacy Technician schedule and adjust as needed.
• Assist in daily duties of technicians including reallocation of staff to changes in workload.
