Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time, casual pharmacist intern/pharmacy technician role in the Royal Oak inpatient pharmacy. You will work under a pharmacist to prepare, store and dispense medications, support distribution, and engage with care teams to ensure safe medication practices.

The role involves completing varied pharmacy operations, maintaining safety standards, and delivering patient-centered care within a major university hospital system in Royal Oak, MI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; pursuing Pharm.D. degree is acceptable.
• Pharmacist Intern license for Michigan required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, formulation and distribution of medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Fills medication orders including oral, injectable, topical, and IV admixtures.
• Assist in bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products.
• Prepare and distribute medications to appropriate locations; inventory and restock as needed.
• Maintain USP standards when preparing/handling non-sterile and sterile products where applicable.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing and staff regarding patient care; counsel patients and families when appropriate.
• Provide excellent Customer Service with Patient and Family Centered Care initiatives.
