The role is a 13-week contract with strong intent for direct hire, ideal for an experienced pharmacy leader driving strategic impact in a fast-paced inpatient setting. The candidate will manage budgeting, staffing, and capital planning while ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited program and Ohio license.
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within a medical center.
• Strong communication and financial/operational analysis skills.
• Willingness to lead, educate, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 32 direct reports across multiple hospital locations.
• Collaborate with administration, department heads, and medical staff.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, and capital expenditure projections.
• Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Lead recruitment, evaluation, and disciplinary processes.
• Direct education programs for residents, students, and staff.
• Serve on Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees and professional orgs.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, OSHA and state boards.
• Partner with senior leadership to position the department for growth.
• Utilize Meditech for order entry and Pyxis for automation mgmt.
