Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Services to lead the pharmacy department for our Sandusky health system. This role directs operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages budgets and staff to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care across the organization.

The position requires Ohio licensure, a pharmacy degree (PharmD or equivalent), and several years of managerial experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Ohio with at least 3 years of managerial experience in a progressive medical center pharmacy environment.
• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers and perform complex arithmetic and financial applications.
• Effective written and oral communication; punctual attendance at the work location.
• Compliance with OSHA, CDC and related safety standards; understanding of emergency codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the provision of pharmacy services for patients, employees and medical staff.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ATF, DEA, Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and ACHC; monitor budgets and manage human resources.
• Develop and implement departmental policies; provide safe drug distribution and cost-effective pharmaceutical purchasing; disseminate drug information.
