Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharm.D or Bachelor in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacist must be licensed in Indiana and in good standing.
• Complete a minimum of 30 continuing education units (CEU) in a 2-year period; a file is available to administration on request.
• Able to achieve the required competency or privileges at River Bend Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medication for inpatients
• Provides 24-hour emergency on-call services for inpatient pharmaceutical needs
• Oversees inventory of medications, formulary, and storage
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, state and federal laws
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate drug regimens
• Maintains pharmacy records and supports Medication Assistance Programs
