Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in California required within 1 month of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass background check.
• Must work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the medication therapy of specific patients to ensure optimum therapeutic results.
• Review lab results and patient progress to detect adverse drug reactions and assist with interpretation and treatment.
• Advise patients and medical personnel on medication use, storage, precautions, and device coordination.
• Provide drug information, therapy options, and dosing advice; order and adjust dosages under protocol.
• Dispense, compound, procure, store, and distribute pharmacy products; verify accuracy in MAR/EHR.
• Provide inservices and educational programs for staff and participate in rounds and committees.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Supervise Pharmacist Residents, Pharmacist Interns, Pharmacy Technicians, and non-licensed personnel.
