Job summary

OU Health seeks an Inpatient Pharmacist III (Pharmacist- Oklahoma Children's Hospital- PRN) to provide expert-level leadership and clinical decision-making for assigned inpatient units. This role supervises pharmacists and technicians, manages workflow, and drives high-reliability pharmacy operations.

You will oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding, QA documentation, and collaboration with nursing and physician leadership to optimize patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy with PharmD or B.Ph. required.
• Licensed pharmacist in Oklahoma; interim licensure within 90 days is acceptable.
• Preceptor certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert operational oversight of inpatient pharmacy units.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping to optimize workflow.
• Oversee medication order verification, compounding, and distribution for safety and compliance.
• Manage inventory, temperature logs, and QA documentation.
• Lead pharmacy huddles and mentor staff, residents, and students.
• Support accreditation readiness and regulatory surveys.
