Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Staff Pharmacist to join our clinical team in Orange, CA. The role covers day-to-day drug distribution, IV order processing, and patient consultations, with emphasis on maintaining patient profiles and supporting cardio-pulmonary emergencies.

The pharmacist will supervise technicians, manage inventory, and precept residents and students under supervision. California licensure and Pharm.D. are required.

Qualifications

• Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy.
• One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire
• Current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current BLS or ACLS upon hire
• CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing.
• Provide therapeutic intervention, drug information and patient consultation, and maintain patient profiles.
• Direct technicians, perform inventory control, and precept residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned.
