Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Pharmacist to optimize patient care by promoting rational, safe and cost effective pharmaceutical care. The role involves drug dispensing, IV admixture, drug information delivery and drug therapy monitoring to reduce adverse events.

You will supervise pharmacy technicians and students, oversee inventory and ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws. Night shifts may include triaging and resolving medication problems with IT and automation issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in PA and/or NY within 120 days.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions with prospective drug review and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provide accurate drug information to health professionals, patients and the public.
• Supervise and train pharmacy staff and oversee daily inventory.
