Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking an inpatient Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care within a decentralized model. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective therapy and accurate dispensing in the main campus pharmacy.

Eligibility requires Ohio licensure (PharmD or B.Pharm). Preferred candidates have a PGY-1 residency, hospital and pediatric experience, and the ability to supervise students and technicians.

Qualifications

• Required education: Doctorate Degree or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Required specialized training: Registered Pharmacist in Ohio or eligible.
• Preferred: ASHP PGY-1 residency, hospital experience, pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy through integrated drug distribution and clinical services.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to monitor effectiveness of therapy and review physician orders.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals, pediatric patients and families.
• Coordinate dispensing of medications and oversee daily pharmacy operations.
• Supervise pharmacists, students, and technicians; verify products prepared by staff.
• Adhere to State Board of Pharmacy laws and other regulatory agencies.
