Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL, seeks a Mental Health Worker Inpatient for the Emergency Department Behavioral Health Pods. Part-Time, Days, 7a-7:30p schedule. The role includes assisting with ADLs, supporting the care team, and maintaining a safe environment.

Must hold a valid CNA license or have relevant hospital MH work experience; BLS within 30 days; prior MH experience preferred. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid CNA license issued by the State.
• If not a CNA, at least one year experience as Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Support unit functions and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN. Perform some clerical duties as assigned.
