Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or within four months of initial employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Administer basic health care and medical treatments and assist with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meals, etc.).
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
• Collect non-invasive biological specimens.
• Prepare patient treatment areas and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste per standards.
• Perform scheduling and documentation-related clerical tasks.
• Strong communication, customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills are required daily.
• Provide one-on-one care to patients when necessary for safe care.
