Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Pathology Assistant - Inpatient - Float to support the surgical pathology service across multiple Florida hospital locations, ensuring efficient operation of the pathology suite and related workflows.

The role includes supervising accessioners, grossing technicians, and transcriptionists, with duties in inventory control, QA/QC, accreditation prep, and budgeting. Must hold PA Board Certification ASCP and be eligible for Florida licensure.

Qualifications

• Must be PA Board Certified ASCP in General hospital grossing.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Florida medical license.
• Hospital locations across Florida including Wesley Chapel, Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch, Bayfront St. Petersburg and Lakeland Highlands Regional Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Oversee organization and operations of the surgical pathology suite and anatomic pathology service.
• Supervise accessioners, lab aides, grossing technicians and transcriptionists.
• Manage inventory, quality assurance/control, accreditation preparation, and budgeting.
