HealthOp Solutions in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a full-time Palliative Care Physician to join our inpatient consult team. You'll collaborate with two Nurse Practitioners and an interdisciplinary group to provide comprehensive, patient-centered palliative care in a hospital setting.

This role emphasizes compassionate communication, symptom control, and goals-of-care discussions, with a structured 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and flexible hours designed to support clinician well-being.

Qualifications

• AZ MD or DO license or eligible
• Palliative Fellowship Trained
• Board Certified or Eligible

Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient palliative consultations for patients with advanced or life-limiting illnesses
• Manage complex symptoms including pain, breathlessness, nausea, anxiety, and agitation
• Facilitate family meetings and goals-of-care discussions with clarity and compassion
• Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and other members of the care team to guide treatment decisions
• Provide emotional and decision-making support to patients and their loved ones
• Educate healthcare teams on symptom control and palliative care principles
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the medical record
• Help foster a care environment grounded in dignity, empathy, and respect
