Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the inpatient Palliative Care team at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. The NP provides inpatient consultation, symptom management, and supports decision making for cancer patients, alongside physicians and pharmacists.

Requirements include Massachusetts NP licensure, national certification, and at least one year of oncology or NP experience.

Qualifications

Authorization to practice in an expanded role as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Current certification from a nationally recognized accrediting body approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners.
Minimum of 24 contact hours beyond generic education in pharmacotherapeutics.
Masters degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience or 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience.
Onc NP experience preferred; Massachusetts DPH and Federal DEA numbers held.
Certification in Oncology Nursing preferred - OCN, AOCN, CPON, BMTCN, CPHON.

Responsibilities

Inpatient consultation and follow-up for palliative care in oncology patients.
Manage acute and chronic problems, provide anticipatory guidance and education.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and care teams to optimize symptom management.
