Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking an experienced PA/NP to join the inpatient General Medical Service. The role collaborates with hospitalists, residents, and nurses to formulate and execute patient care plans. You will write progress notes, order tests, and participate in discharge planning.

Candidates must complete an accredited PA program or an advanced NP degree, hold relevant state licensure, and be board-certified. Prior ICU/acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate or professional degree required for PA/NP roles.
• PA: Graduate Level PA Program with AMA-approved accreditation.
• NP: Master’s or post‑master’s degree in acute care, adult or family NP.
• Board certification required for PA/NP practice in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hospitalist and primary care attending physicians on rounds.
• Write daily progress notes and implement plan of care.
• Perform procedures within PA/NP scope of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and other examinations.
• Assist in planning and execution of patient discharge and handoff.
• Coordinate referrals with care coordinator and ensure clear sign-out.
