Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state in which they practice.
• Graduates awaiting examination may practice under a GOT license in Rhode Island or a temporary MA license.
• Active BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Examines and evaluates patients.
• Establishes diagnosis, prognosis, and individualized plans of care.
• Implements treatment intervention based on plan of care.
• Directs and coordinates patients' rehabilitation plan of care.
• Evaluates patients' progress and revises goals and plan of care accordingly.
• Educates/ trains patients/caregivers.
• Anticipates and communicates discharge/home needs and resources.
• Completes documentation and charges accurately and timely.
• Reflects eligibility/medical necessity of services in compliance with standards.
