Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital seeks a TH Occupational Therapist II for inpatient OT services on a per diem basis. The role involves planning therapy, fabricating splints, and guiding patients through ADL tasks in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide occupational therapy treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients.
• Fabricate and modify patient splints and orthotic devices as needed.
• Assist with ADL tasks and retraining including transfer training, bed mobility, hygiene, grooming, dressing and feeding.
• Direct and train patients in UE prosthetics, orthotic devices and assistive equipment.
• Consult with the health care team to establish goals and treatment plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
