Job summary

Atrium Health is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider for the Inpatient Orthopedic Surgical Sports team in North Carolina. You will act as a surgical first assistant and collaborate with orthopedic surgeons across operative, perioperative, and clinic settings.

Requirements include NC licensure as PA or Acute Care NP, board certification, and 2+ years APP experience in orthopedics, ED, or urgent care. No on-call, weekends, or holidays in this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to practice in North Carolina as Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP.
• National board certification required; DEA license or eligibility.
• Prescriptive authority through NC governing board.

Responsibilities

• Surgical first assist involvement in orthopedic procedures.
• Support perioperative patient management and surgical coordination.
• Possibly provide office clinic coverage as needed.
• Evaluate and manage orthopedic conditions and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and contribute to treatment planning.
