Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Assists with supply maintenance: stocking nurse stations, cleaning instruments and equipment, ordering supplies, and updating charts.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by the RN and ensures accurate documentation.
• Demonstrates competency in vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and intake/output measurement per skills checklist.
• Completes annual education as assigned to comply with program requirements.
• Obtains and documents vital signs, intake/output, and blood glucose for monitoring.
• Bathes patients using bath wipes and CHG cloths as applicable.
• Uses proper body mechanics for transfers and ambulation with walkers, lift devices, crutches, canes, or platform walkers.
• Operates continuous passive motion machines for knee replacement patients.
• Performs hourly rounding and assists with activities of daily living.
