Job Overview

Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, and following organizational and state regulations, the Pharmacy Technician III assists in filling prescriptions and preparing IV admixtures. This role builds on the skills of Pharmacy Technician I and II, supporting various pharmacy functions depending on the work setting and shift.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Permanent Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the State of Michigan
• 5+ years relevant pharmacy experience or equivalent education and experience
• No current disciplinary actions (for internal applicants)
• Skills in mathematics and basic algebra
• Ability to interpret data and coordinate with pharmacists
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform related tasks
• Effective communication skills and professionalism

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain competencies of Pharmacy Technician II
• Support specific pharmacy services such as medication delivery, specialty pharmacy, chemotherapy compounding, medication reconciliation, inventory management, and departmental scheduling
• Engage in professional development activities and leadership roles as appropriate
