Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Director of Inpatient Oncology Nursing to lead the nursing services within the oncology inpatient unit. The role directs policy development, staff mentoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (MA/NH), a Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Leadership, and 3–5 years of progressive administrative experience, preferably with oncology background.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in nursing or healthcare leadership.
• Bachelor's degree required in nursing or related field.
• RN licensure in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire required.
• 3–5 years of healthcare experience with progressive administrative responsibility.
• Experience with quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for inpatient oncology nursing services and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Lead recruitment, mentorship, staff development, and performance evaluations to maintain optimal staffing and morale.
• Drive change management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance across the unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other departments to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Promote patient-centered care and a culture of safety, ethics, and continuous improvement.
