Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System invites physicians to join the Oncology Hospitalist Service at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, CT, providing comprehensive inpatient medical management for hospitalized oncology patients.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in the education of residents and medical students, and contribute to safe transitions of care from admission to discharge while maintaining quality and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with ACGME Internal Medicine Residency.
• Board-eligible or Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• Hematology-Oncology or Palliative Care training welcomed but not necessary.
• Must obtain attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical management for hospitalized oncology patients.
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate and mentor residents, medical students, APPs, nurses and clinical staff.
• Support safe transitions of care from admission through discharge with focus on quality and patient satisfaction.
