Job summary
Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for inpatient Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and related services in a full‑time day shift. The NP will diagnose, treat, and prescribe within their specialty area and work collaboratively with the medical staff to deliver high‑quality patient care.
Responsibilities include patient assessments, order entry, education, and care plan development. Requires NY NP certification, NP program completion, and DEA/BLS credentials in a hospital
Qualifications
- Master's degree required for NP licensure and eligibility.
- New York State NP Certification with active registration.
- RN license in New York State with current registration.
- National Board Certification in Advanced Practice Nursing.
- DEA certificate and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients via comprehensive history and physical examination.
- Initiate orders and coordinate diagnostic procedures and therapies.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Document findings and care plans in medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
