HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver evidence-based therapy and support patient independence. You will work with physicians and a care team to assess needs, develop plans, and implement interventions that promote recovery, functional improvement, and quality of life for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Florida OT license.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA.
• Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence‑based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed with thorough documentation.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement throughout recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and great patient experiences.
• Lead by example, mentoring therapy assistants or students and upholding hospital mission and values.
