Job summary

EXALT HEALTH REHABILITATION HOSPITAL DAYTONA LLC in Daytona Beach, FL, seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. You will develop individualized plans and provide interventions to restore independence and improve quality of life.

You will educate patients and families on ADLs, function, and home strategies, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a smooth discharge and ongoing progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unencumbered OT license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification via AHA or Red Cross.
• 2 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on ADLs and self-management.
• Provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions addressing strength, balance, and cognitive skills.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and rehab staff on the care plan.
• Document patient progress and outcomes to measure effectiveness.
• Stay current with rehabilitation medicine best practices.
