Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist for the Winston-Salem campus to support inpatient rehabilitation and acute care. The role involves performing standardized assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support pediatric patients and their families.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, at least one year of experience, appropriate licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• One year of experience in occupational therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the applicable state with current licensure.
• CPR Certification every two years.
• Valid applicable state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized tests such as manual muscle testing and goniometry.
• Provide evaluations and written summaries for multidisciplinary teams.
• Plan intervention strategies and communicate with families about child strengths and needs.
• Provide OT treatment services including neurodevelopmental and sensory motor therapy and home programming.
• Document goals and progress, participate in IFSP as needed.
• Attend staff and committee meetings as needed.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
