Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for our Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care teams at the Winston-Salem Campus. The role involves comprehensive evaluations, development of intervention plans, and delivery of neuro-developmental and sensory-motor therapies to pediatric patients; clinical documentation and family education are required.

Responsibilities include collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, chart reviews for quality assurance, and occasional weekend

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• One year of experience in occupational therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the relevant state with current licensure.
• CPR Certification renewed every two years.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized tests such as manual muscle testing and goniometry, and teach OT procedures to patients, families, and staff.
• Conduct both individual and multidisciplinary evaluations and summarize diagnostic findings for the team plan.
• Plan intervention strategies and communicate with families about patient strengths and weaknesses; may work in homes, agencies, preschools, or clinics.
• Provide OT treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory-motor therapies and home programming to improve function.
• Document goals and progress of therapy and participate in IFSP as needed.
• Participate in chart reviews for quality assurance and attend relevant workshops to update practices.
