Job summary

IU Health Fort Wayne is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide inpatient and acute care services in the Fort Wayne hospital. You will evaluate patients across the lifespan, develop individualized plans of care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support meaningful daily activities and safe transitions of care.

This role requires a master’s degree in occupational therapy, Indiana licensure, and BLS; NBCOT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license in Indiana or eligibility required.
• NBCOT certification preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled OT services to inpatients across the lifespan; evaluates performance and develops plans of care addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental factors.
• Implements evidence-based interventions to improve daily activities and functional mobility; collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Supervises assistants and students as permitted; ensures proper documentation, coding, and discharge planning; supports safety and quality initiatives.
