Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking an Occupational Therapist I for an inpatient, full-time days position at Hyde Park (Chicago, IL). The OT I will perform assessments, develop treatment plans and home programs, and supervise OTA staff. Strong interpersonal and computer skills, plus IL license and NBCOT, are required.

The role involves collaboration with the inpatient team, rounds, and participation in performance improvement projects. A $1500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved occupational therapy program.
• Current Illinois OT license (or eligibility).
• NBCOT certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care across patient populations.
• Good computer skills to access patient data.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using appropriate OT tests and measurements to set treatment plans and home programs.
• Demonstrate time management and meet productivity expectations.
• Support service initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Supervise OTA and potentially OT students; participate in rounds and conferences.
