Job summary

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) to provide OT services for inpatient and outpatient populations aged 15 and up. The role involves evaluations, evidence-based interventions, equipment recommendations, and modality application under physician or qualified provider referral.

You will administer OT evaluations, develop patient-centered treatment plans, ensure medical necessity, and maintain timely documentation within the department.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Occupational Therapy Degree from an accredited program.
• Must be registered/certified by NBCOT.
• Occupational Therapist IN state license required .
• Must have current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or be able to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Administers OT evaluations to inpatients and/or outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs.
• Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and function.
• Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
• Revises/updates the treatment plan per policy, communicates to team members, and obtains sign-off when appropriate.
• Accurately completes documentation to support skilled services and medical necessity within regulatory timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
