Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Technician to assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic care under RN supervision on an inpatient Med/Surg floor.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification, MOAB and CPR/First Aid training preferred, with strong organizational and teamwork skills. Ability to work with medical terminology and computers is a plus, and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or CNA certification, or equivalent work experience.
• Nursing Assistant Certification preferred; LTAC or med/surg experience or clinical rotation.
• MOAB training preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred or to be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Experience with computers or typing; familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care for non-acutely ill patients.
• Work under RN supervision to support nursing unit planning, organization and evaluation of activities.
• Follow Nursing Care Plan and departmental policies for proper patient treatment and care.
