Job summary

Sanford Health in Ladysmith, WI is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join an inpatient team. The role provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN or LPN, contributing to smooth unit operation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Maintains required department competencies and certifications.
• If working in ND, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry or within 4 months of employment.
• If working in WI, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with work eligibility or be a student nurse with basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
