The RN Inpatient Nurse Manager provides clinical and operational leadership for nursing services within a Florida behavioral health hospital and addiction treatment center. This position supervises Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Behavioral Health Technicians, and other assigned staff while overseeing safe, effective, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care for individuals receiving inpatient psychiatric, crisis stabilization, detoxification, and substance use disorder treatment services.
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida, or eligibility to obtain Florida RN licensure prior to employment.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of professional nursing experience required, with experience in inpatient behavioral health, psychiatric, crisis stabilization, detoxification, substance use disorder treatment, or addiction recovery services strongly preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, charge nurse, nurse manager, or comparable nursing leadership experience required.
Applicant must maintain active Florida RN licensure and meet all organizational, regulatory, and continuing education requirements applicable to inpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment services.
Telehealth participation may be required based on program needs.
Communicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage participation by all team members.
Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department.
Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.
Involve, as appropriate, all team members to achieve goals.
Effectively communicate to team members any changes and newsworthy events within the department or company.
Handle difficult team member situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
Reinforces team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.
Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.
Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
Annual maintenance of licenses, and certifications.
Completion and maintenance of required training, competencies, licensure, certifications, and continuing education in accordance with Florida requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policy.
