Responsibilities

• Manages and directs the operations and delivery of patient care within budgetary, staffing and regulatory guidelines using evidence-based practice.
• Ensures personnel demonstrate quality standards of customer satisfaction and patient care.
• Manages nursing and ancillary personnel within an area or unit by coaching, educating, consulting, training and evaluating performance.
• Plans, schedules and organizes the work to ensure proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of staff, space and facilities.
• Assures compliance with productivity standards for assigned area/units.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities to enhance delivery of clinical care.
• Serves on nursing councils/committees to improve patient care and service quality.
