Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake is seeking an Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide neurosurgical inpatient care. You will work with attending physicians, fellows, and residents across the Neurological Surgery continuum of care.

The role requires Washington ARNP/PA licensure, NP/PA program graduation, and BLS/ACLS certification, with a 7-on/7-off schedule and 12/10-hour shifts. The department emphasizes high-quality, multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Washington State ARNP licensure or Physician Assistant licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• BLS
• ACLS

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily morning and afternoon rounds
• Provides daily care, evaluates and manages patients, writes daily progress notes, and formulates/implements plans
• Coordinates patient care with other services (endocrinology, internal medicine, neurology, ENT, ID)
• May perform procedures: lumbar punctures, drain removal, external ventricular drain placement/removal, lumbar drain placement/removal, shunt/Ommaya tapping, nasal endoscopy
