Abington Memorial Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, seeks an Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the inpatient neurosurgery service. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care and participate in assessment, diagnosis, planning, and management.

Responsibilities include performing histories and exams, ordering tests, managing plans of care, and ensuring documentation and communication across care

Qualificações

• Master’s degree required.
• National Board Certification as an Acute Care NP or PA.
• BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Performs complete history and physicals and documents in the medical record.
• Orders and collects data using assessment techniques and diagnostic procedures as indicated.
• May serve as first responder for patient status changes, orders, and procedures.
• Assesses risks for acute and complex chronically ill patients, including meds, immobility, nutrition, fluids/electrolytes, and invasive procedures.
• Collaborates with the health care team to diagnose acute and complex chronic conditions.
• Manages diagnostic tests by ordering, interpreting, performing, and supervising tests.
• Identifies expected outcomes and documents a plan of care for complex needs, applying evidence-based guidelines.
• Prescribes diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions; performs advanced procedures as privileges allow.
• Maintains communication with the care team and with patients and families to ensure continuity of care.
• Documents progress in the medical record, ensuring timeliness and compliance with standards.
• Engages in professional practice activities and continuing education.
