Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for inpatient nephrology consultative services at Bellevue Medical Center, serving as the primary nephrology contact.

The role involves collaborating with the nephrology faculty while independently managing day-to-day consult needs, with a 1.0 FTE schedule, Monday–Friday, first shift, at Bellevue and Nebraska Medical Centers.

Qualifications

• Ability to function with autonomy and make independent decisions within a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to renal disorders, including AKI/CKD, glomerulonephritis, and hydronephrosis.
• Diagnose conditions and plan interventions such as dialysis and electrolyte correction.
• Evaluate patient responses with supervising physician.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
