Job summary

The Mental Health Therapy Aide (MHTA) supports inpatient units within the Golisano Center for Special Needs. Daily team meetings, treatment plan implementation, data management, and privacy-respecting assistance with daily living tasks are required. Strong data skills and professional interaction with staff are essential; physical patient management may be required.

The position is based in Syracuse, NY with a permanent civil service pathway through the HELP program and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with data management or behavioral programs preferred.
• Ability to work a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

• Engage in daily meetings with the behavior team to discuss treatment plans.
• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and data management.
• Graph data and identify variables affecting patient outcomes.
• Assist with daily living tasks while ensuring patient privacy and dignity.
• Interact with colleagues professionally and appropriately.
• Ability to physically manage patients.
