Qualifications

• BCLS certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire and kept current.
• Clearance through the Family Care Registry is required.
• Orientation and/or training to UAP regulations completed within the established timeline.
• Various background criteria as listed in the department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment on the unit.
• Assist with daily activities and note changes in patient condition.
• Perform clerical tasks and support in clinical settings as needed.
