Job summary

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for direct patient care per VA policy.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with an active RN license.
• State licensure and graduate nursing education requirements as per VA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide evidence-based nursing care for patients with MH conditions.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient education and self-management.
• Administer medications and therapies following facility policies.
• Conduct shifts, de-escalation, and psychoeducational groups as assigned.
• Document assessments, plans of care, and safety observations in the medical record.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and environmental rounds to address safety concerns.
