Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years recent acute care hospital inpatient coding experience.
• Requires RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient and outpatient accounts.
• Maintains coding accuracy rate of 95% or better.
• Completes coding within a four-day timeframe.
• Ensures proper coding through communication with medical staff.
