Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, ME seeks a professional medical coder to review encounters and assign ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM, CPT, and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient encounters. Candidates should have 1–3 years in acute care coding, with AHIMA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum -- High School or GED with certificate of medical terminology training and/or Anatomy and Physiology.

• Experience -- 1–3 years coding in an acute care setting.
• Preferred -- 5+ years coding in an acute care facility with specialty units.
