Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to accurately code inpatient records using ICD10CM/PCS in a fast-paced South Florida setting.

You will ensure coding accuracy, abstract data elements from medical records, and maintain compliance with CMS and OIG regulations while collaborating with clinicians and the health information management team. A minimum of three years' experience and AHIMA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Inpatient coder with CCS or RHIT preferred
• Experience with ICD10CM/PCS coding
• Knowledge of CMS/OIG rules and regulatory coding requirements
• Proficient in Word/Excel and medical record documentation

Responsibilities

• Accurately codes inpatient records using ICD10CM/PCS.
• Abstracts prescribed data elements from medical records and ensures regulatory compliance with CMS/OIG rules.
