Job summary

Downtown Boulder Partnership in Bronx, NY seeks Certified Medical Coders - Inpatient for a 3-month contract. You will perform medical coding in an acute care setting, with emphasis on inpatient coding and ED experience, using ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and 3M/HDS encoder. Training will be onsite for start.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED and AHIMA RHIA/RHIT and/or CCP, CCS credentials; CCS required. Strong computer skills (MS Word/Excel) and knowledge of coding guidelines are essential;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and professional credentials (AHIMA RHIA/RHIT and/or CCP, CCS).
• Certified inpatient coder with CCS and inpatient coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT-4 and coding guidelines.
• Strong computer skills and ability to research coding issues.

Responsibilities

• Medical coding in an acute care setting; proficiency with MS Word/Excel, ICD-9-CM, CPT-4 and encoder tools.

• Candidate should be able to work with minimal training.
