Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience.
• Proficient with ICD10 coding.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED plus AHIMA RHIA/RHIT/CCP/CCS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Medical coding in an acute care setting.
• Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, and federal billing guidelines.
• Ability to research coding related issues and resolve them.
• Competence in coder training and outpatient/ED coding experience.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Encoder).
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes.
