Job summary

LewisGale Regional Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in Virginia to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department standards and state requirements. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to implement care plans and ensure positive outcomes.

You will assess patients at admission and during shifts, administer medications, document care, and educate families about conditions and treatments.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN—Registered Nurse licensure.
• Associate Degree in nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide responsive, compassionate care and promptly address patient requests and needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.
