Carilion Clinic seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for inpatient care in Roanoke, VA. Work under RN/MD direction to deliver nursing care, coordinate treatments, and support patient education. Requirements include Virginia LPN licensure, BLS-HCP certification, and de-escalation training within 4 months. Orientation and competency completion are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current LPN licensure in Virginia required.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
• De-escalation training within 4 months of hire.
• Must complete orientation and competency requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide practical nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.
• Support patient care delivery, treatment implementation, and care coordination.
• Participate in the nursing process: data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Contribute to development and implementation of interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Identify patient, family, and caregiver educational needs and incorporate into plan.
• Administer medications per orders and scope of practice.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Advocate for patients and support their rights, including psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure coordinated, quality care.
