The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with Virginia licensure. De-escalation training must be completed within four months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Virginia LPN licensure required.
• De-escalation training within four months of hire and ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process for patients of all ages.
• Communicates with team members, ancillary departments, and physicians.
• Collects data and contributes to the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and implements treatment plans.
• Supports patient education and advocacy within policies.
